Baby dolls was a strip joint on Ossington before it became trendy. Shepherd and I went there a couple of times. There was a story on every face. This is one of them.

Well when she was just a little girl
she wondered how to make it such a world
and thought about what way to end it
each frigid night she gets a visit
which one of them this time is it?
their sweat and shit and breath comes in buckets
and on the nights she had to herself
she'd look up to the surrounding shelf

So at a ripe age of only 16
she grabbed her dolls and she split the scene
you could say she was rough around the edges
she found herself an apartment to live
a retail job that just didn't give her much
it really didn't give her much of what she wanted
so to the wanted adds
ladies for hire
red hot ladies the ones on fire
a place to feel nothing much at all
and as she stared into the night
through her window
the neon light
deadening eyes discover
baby dolls

so she heard about this place called baby dolls
a place to to stand up and be reborn and be tall
a place where no one owes you nothing
they hired her on the spot
not a dripping
not a drop
of what was to come

She gets free food fingers and fries
fish and chips she swallows and sighs
