about

My friend Jason Lormand asked me to be his best man at his wedding. I wrote this song about our friendship and sang it as my speech. Years later he returned the favour and wrote me a song and sang it at my wedding. It's called 'A house with no knives"
I hope to record it one day.

lyrics

I remember when we became friends
I stayed with him and Spinner in a Howard Johnson
you see, i was the new guy on the team
I had big thick glasses
he gave me a nickname
he said, you look like a Big Scary Nerd to me
I said "why?"
he said, "cause you just look like one"

it still sticks with me to this day
and now i know
I'll be taking that nickname to the grave

we grew up together on Purple Hill
running through backyards and raising hell
"ah Jay did you see the look on that guys face!"
"yeah! he sure can run. What's he like, 57?"
"ahhhh i don't know"

it still sticks with me to this day
and now i know
we'll taking that moment with us to the grave

I'm gonna get it down for you

have you ever heard that song called Heroin?
Lou Reed hit us deep
he's always bringing us back again
like that part where John Cale climaxes the viola at the end
making us go crazy creative with a cold one in our hands
as we shout!
everything!
is alright!
cause we have shared a great rock n roll moment together
forever

it still sticks with me to this day
and now we know
we'll be taking this song with us to the grave

I'm gonna get it down for you

I remember when we became friends
I stayed with him and Spinner in a Howard Johnson
