Hey how's it going my friend I wanna tell you who I am the sinner in the story who destroys everything I just want to start over again for this time I've learned clearly I've seen the circle It's like the rain that hard rain it comes and goes and settles down again For I feel the hand of God it placed itself on me It's trying to direct to me to the right path oh, that light that beautiful light but the path to redemption the cleansing of time It's like the rain that hard rain it comes and goes and settles down again It comes and goes and settles down again

Baby Dolls 05:08
Well when she was just a little girl she wondered how to make it such a world and thought about what way to end it each frigid night she gets a visit which one of them this time is it? their sweat and shit and breath comes in buckets and on the nights she had to herself she'd look up to the surrounding shelf baby dolls giving her support by the dozen and what she liked were their deadening eyes a silence you'd find only in a fly to feel nothing is what she wanted So at a ripe age of only 16 she grabbed her dolls and she split the scene you could say she was rough around the edges she found herself an apartment to live a retail job that just didn't give her much it really didn't give her much of what she wanted so to the wanted adds ladies for hire red hot ladies the ones on fire a place to feel nothing much at all and as she stared into the night through her window the neon light deadening eyes discover baby dolls so she heard about this place called baby dolls a place to to stand up and be reborn and be tall a place where no one owes you nothing they hired her on the spot not a dripping not a drop of what was to come Baby doll She gets free food fingers and fries fish and chips she swallows and sighs "I love the grill at baby dolls" watch your health babe watch the grill babe make sure you always know how to work that pole baby doll

"Rough Skeletons describe their sound as "not giving a fuck but caring so much." The rough-hewn songs collected on Experimental Redneck are deliberately unfocused but filled with passion, proving that Marchildon and Shepherd are Toronto's real Venus in furs."

EYE Weekly 4/5

"The songs range from percolating beats gussied up by rolling surf guitar, a loose L.A. early punk vibe, shaky early 60's rock vocals to ethereal meandering folk spiked with industrial experimentalism and everything in between. It's a spooky, velvety tapestry that's as appealing as bleakness can get."

VUE Weekly

"Singer Songwriter Owen Marchildon and guitarist/sound effects wizard Paul Shepherd has evolved into something more focused and satisfying than what we heard on their maddeningly schizoid, but fun, debut. The duo's second release offers up 11 finely crafted works of wondrous dream pop, re-imagined Loaded era Velvet Underground and Dylan inspired folk. Marchildon is a wonderfully weird storyteller, his most powerful attribute is his passionate versatile voice, conjuring both Lou Reed on the excellent garage rocker "Dreamstate To The Streets" and early 70's lonesome country of "That Beautiful Light". But his constantly shifting falsetto also adds melancholic textures to the LP's many psychedelic folk jaunts, in paticular the haunting, "Taking a Knife".
